UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration

The United Nations on Ecosystem Restoration is a call to protect and revive ecosystems worldwide for the benefit of both humanity and nature. This initiative aims to halt the deterioration of these systems and restore their integrity to achieve global objectives. Without healthy ecological systems, we cannot improve people's livelihoods, combat climate change, or prevent the collapse of biodiversity.

The United Nations Environment Programme and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations collaborate in leading the UN Decade. This joint effort aims to generate robust global momentum for improving restoration initiatives and steering the world towards a sustainable future. It involves fostering political support for reform and initiating numerous field projects.

APN is the first Jordanian organization to become an Actor for the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration 2021-2030. The restoration program will last a decade and aims at supporting the acceleration of initiatives like The Green Caravan (GC), The Million Tree Campaign (MTC) and many others.
