
APN held a press conference at its headquarters on November 30 to announce its Annual Dinner 2016 that was organized on December 3rd and to display its achievements in supporting agriculture, food security and environmental campaigns.
The conference was attended by 20 journalists who were welcomed by APN founding member Razan Zuayter calling them the conscience of this nation much like civil society. “We both monitor and record history”.
She said and added “what distinguishes APN is its ability to rely on volunteerism, and local and regional funding only”. APN manager Mariam Al jaajaa went over the organization’s achievements for the year 2016 and Um Ishaq, guest of APN’s Annual Dinner , recounted her story and her husband who chose to live in a cave in the village of Wadi Fukin - Bethlehem to protect their land from confiscation
The press conference was accompanied by several TV and radio interviews to announce the Annual Dinner and inform people about the different achievements. APN President Rami Barhoush, and Um Ishaq were hosted by Roya’s TV Show “Donya ya Donya”, APN lawyer and volunteer Abdullah Hawatmeh was interviewed by Mazaj FM , and Board member Ziad Moghrabi was hosted by Albalad, Farah Elnas.
