Agriculture has consistently served as a reliable refuge for the residents of Jerash. In times of economic challenges, the cultivation of trees has become a collective endeavor, offering a pathway to sustainable livelihoods. This is particularly beneficial for those unemployed and for university students with available time to dedicate to cultivating the land.

Accordingly, Jordan Ahli Bank supported the Green Caravan programme by contributing 500 almond, grape, and peach trees in two tree-planting activities in Souf, Jerash. These trees were planted by APN with the participation of 20 volunteers from the bank. The first activity took place on the farm of Abu Sahel, who supports his family of seven, including two university students.

The second activity represented a glimmer of hope for farmer Tawfiq and his family, particularly given that four of his sons are currently unemployed. These trees will serve as a sustainable source of livelihood for the family.
