Demonstrating strong unity, the Asian Peasant Coalition (APC) invited APN Agricultural Advisor, Hassan Al Jaajaa, to address the International Peasant Movements' Solidarity Conference on 23 November 2023. During the first panel titled "Issues and Challenges Faces Peasant Movements", Al Jaajaa shed light on the aggression war targeting Palestinian farmers in the West Bank and Gaza.

Al Jaajaa began by emphasizing that the current Zionist genocide unfolding in Palestine is the most severe since the beginning of the last century, targeting all Palestinians who are predominantly peasants relying on what they cultivate and produce for their livelihoods. Providing a brief background on how the Zionist entity came to be, Al Jaajaa continued to discuss the repercussions of the current aggression on Gaza, which has endured 16 years of blockade, subjecting Gazans to a present “death” diet while previously limited their calorie intake to levels slightly above death by starvation.

The occupation has destroyed 60% of infrastructure, including homes, schools, and hospitals. By enforcing a blockade on essential resources such as food, water, fuel, and electricity, Gazans are forced to drink contaminated water, increasing the spread of diseases, particularly among children. Despite all these atrocities, Al Jaajaa highlighted the unprecedented courage displaced by our freedom fighters. He urged conference participants to persist in fostering solidarity by building strong revolutionary fronts, capable of following strategic road maps aimed at creating a world where all individuals and nations can live with dignity and freedom.
