APN was invited as a guest of honor and keynote speaker at the opening ceremony of the 9th annual conference of the Arab Council, organized by the International Academy School – Amman and Al-Asriyya Schools, under the slogan "Our Unity is Our Future".
Representing the administrative board, executive team, and volunteers, APN Media Coordinator Asmaa Awwad delivered a speech expressing pride in the Council, its organizers, and the participating students. She commended the students for their pride in their Arab culture and heritage, highlighting their determination to acquire leadership skills that will equip them to make a positive impact in the future of our Arab world.
Addressing the conference's theme, "Our Unity is Our Future," she emphasized that the rich tapestry of our civilizational and cultural diversity within the Arab world has historically been a driving force for our renaissance. However, she noted that colonial powers perceived this unity as a threat and, for decades, sought to exploit our differences to divide and weaken us. This strategy involved fueling sectarian strife and promoting sub-identities, leading to a decline in our collaborative efforts and a corresponding weakening of our collective strengths. She underscored that our central geographic location, bridging continents and being the cradle of wealth, particularly in agriculture, originates from our Arab land.
Concluding her speech, Awwad revealed that a tree will be planted in Palestine in the conference's name through APN’s Million Trees Campaign. Moreover, the conference presented an honorary shield to APN.
