The words of the farmer Layth Ya`coub about his adherence to his land that “if the land goes our soul would go with it”, were but an emphasis of the splendid initiative of the students of Princess Sumaya University which was able to provide 830 fruitful trees to be availed of by Layth and his uncle Mohammad whose land lies in Khallat Aum Al-Fahem situated between Daniel settlement from the northern side and the Gush Etzion settlement complex from the western and southern side, and the Israel Highway 60  from the eastern side.

This Zionist encirclement of their land, prompted the APN team to move to commence the first plantation in the name of the University, to protect the land from expropriation.
