As part of “The Million Tree Campaign” program (MTC), which aims to support Palestinian farmers, 3,000 grape trees were planted on lands owned by Burj Alluqluq Social Center Society – with headquarters in Jerusalem- and provides services to thousands of Palestinians living in any Palestinian province.

This initiative took place across 20 dunums of land, it reinforces the concept of benefiting from all agricultural lands in order to achieve the concepts of food security and food sovereignty, which have become quite popular shortly after the shortage in the food supply chain, which was not quite known until the occupation took place in Palestine as lands were confiscated, stolen and destroyed.

We at APN are very grateful for the generous support and contributions provided by Omar and Ghalia Katan who donated 1,000 trees, and to Mrs. Reema Hijawi who also matched that donation and contributed 1,000 other trees as well.
