APN Plants 1000 Trees with Support of Ghiath and Nadia Sukhtian

As part of “The Million Tree” Program in Palestine, The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature with the support of Ghiath and Nadia Sukhtian planted 1,000 fruitful trees of olives and citrus, across 27 dunums in Ramallah and the Palestinian Valley, with the aim of enhancing food security for 13 agricultural families consisting of 92 individuals.

The Palestinian Valleys make up more than a quarter of the West Bank; arable land is about 280,000 dunums, of which 50,000 dunums are exploited by Palestinians, where the residents of the occupied Jordan Valley use 27 thousand dunums of its agricultural land.
