Eng. Razan Zuayter, APN Chairman of the Board, spoke at the meeting of the Arab League’s Sub-Committee on the Eradication of Hunger in the Arab Region of the Arab League, on Thursday, December 9, 2021, and renewed her invitation on behalf of APN for the assembled Arab countries, towards the proposed “Arab Tree Path”, and announced her willingness to create a partnership with five different Arab countries in accordance with the criteria of the project.

Eng. Zuayter added that “The solutions lie in Arab integration and the pursuit of food production, and not only in securing imports from abroad”. This represents the main purpose of the project proposed by APN to the Arab League back in June 2021, in which the idea of implementing several agricultural projects in some Arab countries was approved.

This project was based on APN's 21-years of experience in planting trees,  as a matter of fact APN has successfully planted 2.6 million trees in Palestine throughout "The Million Tree Campaign", as well as 123,000 trees in Jordan Moreover, APN is also preparing to extend its projects to include regions in  Lebanon within the upcoming months,  and share its experience regionally and internationally, noting that recently  Eng. Zuayter was hosted  by  the Saudi Green Initiative -Youth Green Summit in Riyadh to share her thoughts and experience on projects related to planting.

Eng. Zuayter confirmed that this project met international acceptance after it was presented to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), she also stated that she looks forwards to shifting this project from the planning phase to the implementation phase, under the umbrella of the department of Sustainable Development and International Cooperation in the League of Arab States, the Sub-Committee on the Eradication of Hunger, and in cooperation with the Arab Ministries of Agriculture and various Arab civil society organizations.
