With the approach of World Children's Day, APN's initiative "The Green Caravan" went to SOS Children's Villages in Amman and planted 100 trees on its land. With the support of Jordan Ahli Bank on Saturday, October 30, 2021.

 

The village's children, mothers, association board staff, and other staff participated in this activity, which promotes interest in the concept of green, environmentally friendly villages. These trees will contribute to absorbing 2,200 kg of carbon dioxide annually.

 

Both the children from the village and Jordan Ahli bank staff cooperated to plant almond, citrus, and apple seedlings. The event included many activities for the children, which were carried out by bank staff as part of the "Kulna Ahl" volunteer program, including face painting, hair styling, and the distribution of gifts and sweets to children.

 

Eng. Razan Zuayter, APN Chairman of the Board, praised the noble mission of the Children's Villages and the efforts of its management and team. She also praised the contribution of the supporting partner Jordan Ahli Bank, and its role in involving the children and mothers of the village in these projects that seek to support the food security of the villages, cultivate, and beautify them, and exploit the spaces in them.

 

Iman Abu Al-Roos, Chairman of the Association’s Board, expressed her happiness at the partnership with the Arab Group for the Protection of Nature APN, which, through its vision, contributes to promote efforts to protect natural resources in Jordan and Palestine and to increase green spaces in both countries. She also thanked the continued support of Jordan Ahli Bank for the various activities of the Association, stressing the importance of the role of private sector institutions in supporting civil society and its institutions to achieve their goals.

 

Commenting on this, the CEO/General Manager of Jordan Ahli Bank, Muhammad Musa Daoud, stated: “We are keen to support initiatives and programs that address environmental needs in local communities to reach environmental sustainability in the Kingdom as well as contribute to the self-sufficiency of the villagers.
