APN presented a general and initial conception for implementing the "Arab Tree Path" project during the fifth meeting of the Sub-committee on the Eradication of Hunger of the League of Arab States (22 June 2021).

The concept included addressing Arab countries and inviting them to a meeting to discuss the concept note for the project in September of 2021 after the project obtained the approval of those countries at the end of last year.

The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature will present a set of questions to various Arab countries to explore the possibility of implementing the project in each of those countries.

The "Arab Tree Path" project has been initiated by the Arab Group for the Protection of Nature and the Arab Network for Food Sovereignty under the umbrella of the League of Arab States. A number of agricultural projects will be implemented in several Arab countries following in the footsteps of the Arab Group for the Protection of Nature, who are implementing the Million Tree Program in Palestine and the Green Caravan in Jordan. Both of these projects are considered models for the larger project which will be implemented.
