In February and March, the Arab Group for the Protection of Nature planted 1000 fruit trees on 25 dunums in the governorates of Irbid, Ajloun, Amman, Madaba, Karak, and the Jordan Valley. The tree-planting campaign was supported by the Naua Initiative of the Crown Prince Foundation.

Project manager Mohammad Qtaishat stated that the organization is keen to diversify the locations it targets in Jordan so that it is based on the conditions of the lands and their owners.

Qtaishat added that the trees were distributed to 11 farmers who support 63 family members, including university students who depend on income from agriculture to cover their expenses.

The trees were planted as part of the Green Caravan program, through which the Arab Group for the Protection of Nature seeks to empower Jordanian farmers, revive green areas, and reduce desertification.
