The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature planted 1000 fruit trees in a village near Ramallah. The tree-planting campaign was supported by Abu Issa Holding and implemented in partnership with the Ramallah Farmers' Association. The trees were planted on 36 dunums. They will benefit 5 Palestinian farmers who support 37 people (January 9, 2021).

One farmer named Abu Mahmoud expressed joy with his share of trees, saying that such support encourages farmers to continue their work and care for their lands, especially in the face of repeated attacks by settlers.

Abu Mahmoud indicated that in addition to a show of solidarity, the campaign will help farmers achieve self-sufficiency in food and promote a return to a more environmentally friendly and clean rural life.

The people of this area suffer from the encroachment of 5 large settlements which surround their village from the north and east.
