Supporting Farmers against Israeli Violations in Za’atarah Village in Bethlehem | The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature

The land of a Palestinian farmer in a village in Bethlehem governorate has been replanted with fruit tree seedlings. As part of APN’s  the ‘Land is Ours’ campaign, 80 almond, fig and pomegranate tree seedlings  in addition to 1000 thyme and sage seeds were planted in the village of Za’atarah close to the Dead Sea area.

The planting work which took place on May,1st, 2015 was part of APN’s efforts to enhance the village residents’ ability to hold on to their lands which are frequently targeted by Israeli occupation authorities.The tree seedlings and herbs’ seeds were planted with the support of APN and cooperation of the Palestinian Voluntary Work Committee with students of Al-Quds Open University and Hebron Polytechnic University.
