Situated on a hilltop to the southwest of the Salfit Governorate, Farkha has is famous for being an ecovillage, setting an exemplary model in environmental agriculture and land rehabilitation. However, akin to numerous other villages in the West Bank, it grapples with the looming threat of land confiscation in Area C. This encompasses approximately 400 dunums within the town, sought after by the occupation for annexation to Ari’el settlement. In our commitment to support 28 farming families in Farkha, we planted 1,419 fruit trees across an 87-dunum area, which will support 169 individuals.
