Over six thousand fruit tree saplings are to be planted in eight villages north of Jerusalem in the Occupied West  Bank as part of the second phase of the  ‘Plant Your Tree in Jerusalem’  project carried out by APN . Olive, grapes and almond tree saplings are being grown on a 441dunum area to assist 76 farmers, supporting 531 household members.

The project is designed to support residents of the villages with income sources especially in locations close to the Israeli Separation Wall including  Khirbet al-Jabal village which overlooks Deir Yassin as well as Lifta and Ein Karem which face Judaization plans by Israel.  The tree planting is also aimed at helping them to remain on their lands and resist being confiscated by Israel.
