APN organized two lectures that were conducted by Professor Renato Maalouf, one of which took place in the University of Jordan in Amman on February 12th whereas the second was held at the American University in Beirut on February 16th.

More than 100 participants attended both lectures, in which Professor Maalouf talked about the Brazilian initiative titled "Zero Hunger", which was able to eradicate hunger in Brazil and save around 20 million people which were below the poverty line.Professor Renato Maalouf is the president of the National Council for Food Security in Brazil, as well as an associate professor at the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro.
