In an inspiring new step to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and strengthen food sovereignty, APN announced the launch of a new project under its Million Tree Campaign, funded by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development.
The project aims to plant 85,000 diverse fruit trees, including olives, stone fruits, citrus fruits, grapes, figs, pomegranates, and guavas, across extensive areas in the West Bank.
This project seeks to enhance the sustainability of the Palestinian agricultural sector and support 500 farmers and their families in maintaining their presence on their lands.
The project is part of a long-term vision aimed at promoting sustainable agriculture and reinforcing the bond between Palestinians and their land, especially amidst the challenges farmers face, including displacement, attempts to confiscate their lands, and the economic and social difficulties confronting the region.
