As the result of the efforts of APN and the Arab Network for Food Sovereignty (ANFS), The FAO began an electronic discussion in several languages , including Arabic, to explore efforts to ensure food and nutrition security through human-rights based approaches during protracted crises.
This discussion was led by Mr. Joseph Schechla coordinator of the Habitat International Coalition's Housing and Land Rights Network and a member of the Protracted Crises Working Group facilitated by APN. The discussion lasted from the 28th of October till the 8th of November.
Members of the network shared their suggestions, which will be examined by the Committee on World Food Security (CFS).
As a representative of internatioal civil society in the CFS meetings, APN will make sure to advocate for these suggestions in their written recommendations and interventions
