APN organized a preparatory meeting for the Civil Society Mechanism (CSM) on July 27 to 28, 2014 in Rome to approve the interventions that were given by the CSM during the CFS session on the Agenda for Action Addressing Food Security in Protracted Crises to be ratified by member states in October 2015.

Participants discussed points that must be improved in the draft and the stances that must be defended.

They identified topics and redlines that global civil society refuses to compromise on such as occupation and the obligations of member states outside their territories.APN was represented by its President Razan Zuaiter and its Executive Manager Mariam Jaajaa who managed the meeting and delegated roles among the participants.
