As part of APN’s efforts to enhance water security in Palestine, an agricultural well was dug and installed in the Palestinian village of Beit Surik which lies between the Israeli-built Separation Wall and three Israeli settlements.

The well, with water use up to 80 cubic meters, was installed during the month of February, 2019 in a six-dunum land of a Palestinian farmer. The land is planted with olive, grapes, fruit trees and vegetables and supports an extended family of 40 members.

The new well was built in conjunction with members of Al-Nahda Rural Society which is active in villages in the northwest of Jerusalem.
