The Arab Network for Food Sovereignty pressured the FAO to provide a letter of apology due to the prevention of a delegation from Arab civil society from attending the ministerial meeting for West Asia held in Rome during the period Feb. 24 – 28, 2014.

The Network sent a letter of protest signed by representatives of 112 international and regional organizations demanding an apology from FAO and urging it to establish a strategy of dealing with Arab civil society organizations the same way they deal with other global communities.
