APN participated in a workshop to launch the “Monitor the Economic and Social Rights in Arab Countries” report for 2019 titled: “The Right to Food '' (June 27).

Razan Zuayter, co-founder of APN and president of the Arab Network for Food Sovereignty, moderated a session titled "Linking Food Policies and International Paths" that involved the views of international experts such as Stefano Prato and Giuliano Martinello.

In her opening remarks, Zuayter stressed the need for concerted efforts by civil society to change the reality of Arab food security policies, pointing out that the region did not surpass the protracted state of conflict highlighting that the Arab region is one of the biggest importers in the world.

APN provided the authors with a number of important observations and details that the report lacks on the right to food in the region.

The Arab NGO Network for Development (ANND) organized the workshop that was held in Amman, Jordan.
