APN General Manager Mariam Al Jaajaa was invited to speak at the first national conference  for environmental NGOs, organized by the Jordanian Federation for Environmental NGOs and the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung on the 7th of May 2017. 

Ms. Al Jaajaa was asked to speak about APN projects and its ability in harnessing all the productive components of society including youth and women.

Al Jaajaa presented APN’s five essential pillars of success:  

1- Create an independent platform were decisions are made from the bottom-up, and is free of patriarchy or any form of discrimination, 

2- Working in the field to produce visible results that lend feelings of productivity, and trump feelings of desperation and emptiness,

 3- Adopt goals based on the needs and priorities of communities rather than dictated by sponsors or donors, 

4- Institutionalize the work by formulating  mechanisms for decision making, implementation, and evaluation,

 5- Continuously encourage and empower volunteers and partners for a sustainable and wider scope of impact.
