APN participated in a symposium on China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) organized by the Asia-Pacific Research Network in Hong Kong (22 June).

Razan Zuayter,President of the Arab Network for Food Sovereignty, said that it is difficult to resolve the position on the Chinese initiative before studying it and holding joint dialogue sessions in the Arab world, calling for an opportunity to form a unified Arab opinion on it.APN promised to open channels of Arab dialogue on this initiative to come up with recommendations regarding this initiative.

BRI, launched in 2013, is based on the idea of ​​a 19th-century Silk Road that connected China to the world and aims to expand global trade by establishing networks of roads, ports and other facilities across many countries in Asia, Africa and Europe.
