APN Produces a new book titled “61 Portrait to the Rhythm of Hatikva”

On the occasion of the sixty-first commemoration of the Palestinian Nakba, APN issued a book entitled “61 Portrait to the Rhythm of Hatikva”. 

The book contains 61 crimes committed by Israeli gangs in Palestine beginning with the massacre of SamirAmis Hotel in Jerusalem in 1948 in which there were 21 martyrs and 16 wounded, and it ends with the last aggression on Gaza, which killed 1417 people and injured 5450 people, that was carried out by the Israeli army. In addition, there is the page that contains the first massacre of Qana in Lebanon in 1969, the second in 2006, as well as the murder of American peace activist Rachel Corrie who was crushed by an Israeli army bulldozer deliberately while defending with her body the home of a Palestinian in Gaza being demolished in 2003.

The book, which is in Arabic and en, contains a number of massacres committed by Israel in terms of name, place, the victims and the executer, in addition to the visual arts painting that reflects the massacre painted by the artist Marwa Al-Najjar.

The book also addresses the issue of uprooted trees, razed agricultural land and confiscation and destruction of farms which is also considered as a massacre. Israel has uprooted during the period between 2001 - 2009 more than One and a half  million trees, mostly olive, have bulldozed and destroyed 100,000 acres of agricultural land, in addition to targeting irrigation systems, water wells and livestock and poultry barns.
