The Social Security Investment Fund (SSIF) hosted APN for the occasion of World Environment Day and International Day to Combat Desertification and Drought. APN presented an environmental lecture attended by a group of the Fund’s employees. The Fund’s hosting of this lecture comes as part of its institutional commitment to implementing environmental, social and institutional standards (ESG and sustainable development goals).
The APN team reviewed the most prominent programs of the association, reported facts and figures about their achievements, and invited the attendees to participate in these programs, whether by adopting trees or by volunteering and spreading knowledge on the personal and public levels about the importance of agriculture in Jordan, especially planting fruit trees, supporting small farmers and enabling them to access production inputs.
At the end of the lecture, the Security Funds Investment Fund presented an honorary plaque to the association in appreciation of its efforts.
APN, as part of the “Food Sovereignty” and “If Only You Knew” programs, opens discussions with international, regional and local bodies, including governmental, semi-governmental or private. The discussions encompass: holding awareness lectures, dealing with the most prominent environmental challenges in Jordan, and addressing the relevant and influential bodies in the field. APN draws their strategies focusing on the agricultural sector within the integrated vision of food sovereignty in the Kingdom, and in partnership with other sectors.
