APN launches a fund-raising campaign in cooperation with the Hayat FM radio station

APN organized a fund-raising campaign in collaboration with Hayat FM on January 24th, which aimed at planting 30,000 trees in farms belonging to farmers in a number of Palestinian towns and villages in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, especially those which were destroyed or threatened of confiscation by the Israeli government.

The campaign included the allocation of six major programs by Hayat FM to raise funds, and also to shed light on the challenges faced by Palestinians farmers under the Israeli occupation. The programs were “Sawt Haya”, “Bayt Hawaa’”, “Fatawi”, “Keefak Shabab”, “Nasheed Show” and “Bouh Al Qamar”.

The campaign also aimed at raising awareness about the environmental risks carried out by Israeli forces against Palestinian farmers, such as uprooting trees, destroying soil and lands, the theft of trees which are being planted in Israeli settlements, the destruction of water pipes used for irrigation, in addition to the destruction of poultry farms, livestock, greenhouses and fishing boats.

The funding that has been raised during this campaign was allocated for planting 30,000 trees in Palestinian farms located in towns and areas of Jerusalem, Ramallah, Jenin, Tubas, Nablus, Hebron and Bethlehem and Gaza.
