APN participated in a workshop held in Amman, sponsored by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). During this workshop, the Integrated Global Ecosystem Management Initiative was launched as part of the Global Green Fund projects (8-11 July). 

During the workshop, APN stressed on the need to involve civil society organizations in the planning, implementation and monitoring of the initiative, highlighting the absence of agricultural and environmental organizations.
