Once again and across the lands of Qalqilya, not far away from the green line, 2,000 guava trees were planted – 600 of which were planted in the name of Mr. Hamam Al Darwazeh’s heirs- across 45 dunums of lands. This initiative is considered a brand-new addition to the Million Tree Campaign (MTC), which is one of APN’s programs in Palestine and works on improving food security and sovereignty, which are concepts usually targeted by the occupation. The percentages of these concepts have declined because of the unethical practices targeting Palestinian people and their lands.

A total of 27 farmers will benefit from the proceeds of those trees, and in return will provide for a total of 140 individuals who have been stifled by the occupation because of the land’s locations.
