
The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature, along with a group of other organizations, recommended evaluating the performance of the current secretariat of the Civil Society Mechanism (CSM) of the Committee on Global Food Security (CFS) and reviewing the methods and standards used in dealing with issues raised.
During a meeting via Zoom, a number of agricultural organizations, including the Arab Group for the Protection of Nature, discussed a mechanism of work for this review to present to the Committee on World Food Security.
The Global Civil Society Mechanism (CSM) is the largest gathering of civil society organizations that seeks to influence policies and actions related to agriculture, food security, and nutrition at the national, regional, and global levels. It facilitates the consultation and participation of civil society organizations and NGOs in the Committee on World Food Security.
