On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, Al-Qadiri Agricultural Nurseries and the Arab Group for the Protection of Nature launched a campaign to distribute 25000 grape seedlings for free to citizens to promote agriculture and enhance food security.
The initiative has announced that it will welcome those wishing to pick up seedlings from Al-Qadri branches in Jerash, Zarqa, and Madaba throughout Ramadan.
Representatives from Al-Qadri said that they will provide two seedlings of grapes available in different varieties (Baladi, Halawani, Zaini, and Darwashi) to every person who comes. They put out the following statement:"We must all invest in community solidarity initiatives during this month of giving."
The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature said that this initiative will help make people realize the value of agriculture, especially with the emergence of the need to seek self-sufficiency in light of lessons learned during the onset of COVID-19.
Al-Qadri and the Arab Group for the Protection of Nature have published further details about the initiative on their Facebook pages.
