The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature planted 1,000 trees to announce the reopening of Zain's Forest, located in Thaghrat Asfour area, Jerash Governorate, as a new partnership activity between the two institutions in order to support Jordan's ecosystem.

The opening event included the planting of a thousand new forest trees ragning from cypress, pine, oak, eucalyptus, and carob trees, along with the participation of volunteers and Zain employees in addition to APN’s team. This brought the number of trees planted by Zain in its ten dunums forest, to more than 8,500 trees, since 2008.

This activity represents a distinct model for achieving the 13th goal “Climate Action” and the 15th goal “Life on Land” of the sustainable development goals (SDG), in addition to increasing the extent of forests and green spaces in the Kingdom. APN seeks to achieve increasing cooperation with its partners within the Green Caravan program, by planting diverse trees in different regions of the Kingdom.
