“APN” Plants 1000 Trees with Zain to Reopen its Forest

The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature planted 1000 trees to announce the reopening of the Zain Company’s Forest, located in Thaghrat Asfour area, Jerash Governorate, as a new cooperative activity between the two institutions in order to support the ecosystem in Jordan.

The opening event included the planting of a thousand new forest trees of cypress, pine, oak, eucalyptus, and carob trees, with the participation of volunteers and employees of Zain as well as APN’s team. Which brought the number of trees planted by Zain in its ten dunums forest, to more than 8500 trees, since 2008.

This activity represents a distinct model for achieving the 13th goal “Climate Action” and the 15th goal “Life on Land” of the sustainable development goals, in addition to the goal of increasing the extent of forests and green spaces in the Kingdom, which APN seeks to achieve in cooperation with its partners within the Green Caravan program, by planting diverse trees in different regions of the Kingdom.
