As part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen food sovereignty and agricultural development in Palestine, we rehabilitated 11 water wells, including a historic Roman well. These wells were restored under our "Sumud" (Steadfastness) Project which targets villages enduring systematic isolation from encroaching Israeli settlement networks.
The total restored capacity of the wells is 877 cubic meters, providing direct support to 48 families—approximately 417 people—across the targeted areas.
This initiative represents a tangible step toward enhancing the sumud of Palestinian farmers and rural households by improving access to vital water resources. In this way, communities are better able to sustain and expand their agricultural activities, bolstering their ability to remain on their land against the unceasing threat of displacement and land confiscation.
Through this work, APN continues to mobilise development as a form of resistance, reinforcing the right of Palestinians to live and thrive on their land.
