In a thought-provoking lecture titled “Our Food Comes from Our Land” held at Al Hussein Technical University, APN came with a critical message: the future of agriculture, food security and food sovereignty in Jordan begins with young people’s awareness and their belief in their role in protecting the land and supporting local production.

The session emphasised the need for a new generation of advocates to support local farming, as Jordanian farmers stand on the frontlines of mounting economic and environmental pressures.

Participants were called upon to embrace a shared responsibility toward the land—recognising it as a fundamental source of life, dignity, and national sovereignty.

As part of its commitment to fostering active community involvement, the group announced plans to establish a student volunteer team in partnership with the university. The volunteers will serve as “Ambassadors for Food Sovereignty” tasked with disseminating knowledge, raising public awareness, and spearheading community initiatives to protect agriculture and uphold the right to dignified, locally sourced food for all.
