For the eighth year in a row, the Bank of Jordan and The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature renewed their partnership by planting 500 fruitful trees ranging from olives to citrus and almonds, in Madaba and the Northern Jordan Valley, and SOS Children's Villages Association in Amman, as part of various activities during 2021.

The agricultural activities witnessed wide participation by the Bank’s employees, and by the children and mothers of the Jordanian SOS Children’s Villages Association, during which they planted 9 dunums (9,000 square meters) that will contribute significantly to enhancing food security and empowering ten families, with a total number of more than 93 individuals.

By planting this many this year, the outcome of the partnership between the Bank of Jordan and APN increases in developing contributions. Over the course of their cooperation, the two parties succeeded in planting more than 4,000 fruitful trees in all regions of the Kingdom, which in turn resulted in a reduction of carbon dioxide emissions by 85 tons annually, in addition to providing sustainable income for dozens of targeted families.

Throughout this program, APN aims to strengthen the food basket and provide additional sources of income for farmers, which is reflected by the improving status of farmers and their increased contribution to the agricultural sector, to the economy, and ensuring food security, in addition to the positive impact on the course of environmental conservations.
