The Revive Gaza’s Farmland project, launched by APN about a year and a half ago, continues to implement agricultural activities across various areas of Gaza. Between April and the end of June, the project successfully cultivated approximately 74 dunums, bringing the total area planted since the project's launch to 1,252 dunums.
The most recent agricultural season yielded a variety of crops including eggplant, zucchini, cucumber, tomato, melon, and molokhia, reflecting the project's capacity to enhance crop diversity and contribute to food security in the region.
Increased agricultural production in northern Gaza, despite all the challenges faced by farmers, contributed to lowering the prices of some crops, easing the burden on thousands of families. But the benefits didn’t stop at the markets. We established a direct connection between farmers and grassroots initiatives, allowing agricultural products to be obtained at lower prices, away from traders and middlemen. This initiative helped provide fruit and vegetable parcels to hundreds of families. In addition, APN was able to directly reach many besieged families and supply them with fresh produce.
