Our team has begun planting 500 kilograms of local wheat on an eight dunum plot of land in the Badr area, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen food sovereignty and support rural communities in Jordan.

We plan to cultivate additional plots in the coming period, expanding sustainable agricultural production across the region. The harvested wheat will be distributed to local residents to make traditional bread, helping to promote the use of local seed varieties and strengthen household food security.

The planting includes two heritage wheat varieties – Umm Qais wheat and Khorasan wheat – both valued for their high nutritional content and resilience to local environmental conditions.
