As part of its efforts to strengthen the steadfastness of Palestinian farmers, APN announced the planting of 12 tonnes of wheat across approximately 600 dunums of land in several Palestinian villages, including Bani Na’im, Sa’ir, and a village in the Ramallah Governorate.
The initiative responds directly to farmers’ urgent need for wheat seeds amid the persistent and intensifying pressures of sustaining an agricultural sector under colonial occupation, including rising production costs, limited resources, and critically, the occupation’s systematic restrictions on access to farmland. By enabling farmers to remain on and cultivate their land, the project advances food sovereignty and helps preserve the cultural fabric of Palestinian land and agricultural livelihoods.
