As part of its ongoing efforts to raise awareness about the importance of agriculture and its role in achieving food sovereignty, APN’s “If Only You Knew” team, together with a group of volunteers, implemented a series of workshops, lectures, and interactive activities targeting students in schools, universities, and various institutions in Jordan.

Seventy students from Mashrek International School participated in two hands-on workshops delivered by APN, which focused on the importance of agriculture and its role in strengthening students’ environmental and food awareness.

We also organized a lecture for students at the Montessori School, with the participation of 27 students, highlighting the importance of agriculture and its central role in achieving food sovereignty.

Within community activities, we celebrated Mother’s Day with the children of Learning Trail Nursery over three days, where children and their mothers engaged in interactive agricultural experiences, including planting thyme, sage, and flowers.

At the academic level, we delivered an awareness lecture at the Faculty of Agricultural Technology at Al-Balqa Applied University titled “The Agricultural Engineer of the Future: From the Field to Food Sovereignty”, with the participation of 52 students. The session addressed the future of the agricultural sector and the role of agricultural engineers in strengthening food security.

On the occasion of Earth Day, we delivered a presentation at Arabtech Jardaneh on food sovereignty, with the participation of 40 employees, highlighting the agricultural history of Jordan and the region and the current challenges facing the agricultural sector.

Additionally, 85 fifth-grade students at Amman National School engaged with a lecture on green resistance and food sovereignty, while 30 female students from Aisha Bent Abi Baker School learned about the importance of agriculture and its role in strengthening food security.

We also contributed, alongside volunteers from Al Hussein Technical University, to the cultural day organized by the Ministry of Culture on the occasion of National Book Day at the Royal Cultural Center, reaffirming the role of culture and knowledge in supporting environmental and food awareness.
