The first stage of APN’s  ‘Plant Your Tree in Gaza’ project is underway in conjunction with the group’s partners in Palestine. The campaign is financed by Jordan Engineers Association and the Popular International Committee to Support the Gaza Strip. It will be implemented by the Palestinian Farmers Union. 

The operation involves planting 3,400 olive and citrus tree saplings on 85 dunums of lands in Rafah and Khan Younis. Forty-four water tanks each with a 1000 litre capacity have also been distributed among the beneficiaries.  A water aggregation pond has been constructed with costs donated by Jordan Engineers Association.
