The Arab League Agricultural Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) | The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature

The Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) is an organization affiliated with the Arab League which began its work in 1972, with its headquarters based in Khartoum, Sudan. 

The Organization aims to contribute to creating and developing ties between Arab countries and coordinating cooperation between them in various fields and agricultural activities. The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature (APN) has established a strategic partnership with the Organization to advance their common goals.

APN concluded a memorandum of understanding with AOAD on October, 9, 2019 to discuss aspects of cooperation between the two institutions. The aim is to enhance the ability of Arab peoples to protect and sustain their natural resources and maintain their sovereignty over them, especially in countries under occupation or affected by conflicts.
