During the lockdown that was imposed to curb the spread of COVID-19, APN implemented important work before most sectors began operating again.

During the curfew, APN published a study on the relationship between the Corona virus and zoonotic diseases and the global diet.

The organization distributed 70,000 seedlings and tens of kilograms of seeds to 900 families in Jerusalem.  APN also constructed a borehole with a capacity of 80 cubic meters to irrigate six donums in the village of Beit Annan, Jerusalem.

APN supported farmers in southern Jordan Valley by distributing 550 kilograms of Molokhia seeds to them, producing 110,000 kilograms of Molokhia.

The organization also published a series of awareness videos about home gardens and how they were built.

In addition to all this important work which brought relief to many people who work in agriculture, APN also issued an urgent statement with important demands related to diet and agriculture in the Arab world during the pandemic. 

Until recently, APN participated in a group of webinars to discuss the necessity of achieving the principle of food sovereignty to avoid food crises in light of emergencies and pandemics.
