Planting Trees in Memory of Martyr Izziddin al-Qassam | The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature

Olive tree saplings have been planted in the land where resistance fighter Izziddin al-Qassamfell martyr in Nazlet Sheikh Zayed in Jenin town in the occupied West Bank. The cultivation work, part of APN’s One Million Tree program, aimed to sustain steadfastness of the village residents where on part of their lands stand a Jewish settlement and industrial zone. The residents have also been suffering from the damaging impacts of the Israeli separation wall whose construction led to confiscation of large areas of their lands. The saplings’ planting was carried out in collaboration with the Palestinian Voluntary Work Committee and the Agricultural Development Association.More Photos:
