Raising the slogan of ‘They Uproot One Tree, We Replant Ten’, scores of Palestinian volunteers joined by foreign supporters have replanted 1,200 olive and almond tree seedlings in the town of Al-Shuyookh in Hebron region as part of APN aided initiatives to support Palestinian farmers facing the threat of confiscation of their lands by Israeli occupation authorities.

The volunteers were quick to respond after Jewish settlers from two nearby colonies uprooted similar seedlings planted earlier. The work carried out on April 11th, 2015, was part of the ‘Land is Ours’ campaign organized by the Palestinian Voluntary Work Committee, Al-Shuyookh municipality, Al-Bireh municipality library, Amar Al-Arad and Nabd Hayat  local groups.

Commenting on the planting work, APN president Razan Zuayter said “we hope with God help to replant every tree removed, with the assistance of all honorable people and our partners in Palestine and around the world”.
