APN President Razan Zuayter as a member of the Coordinating Committee of the Civil Society Mechanism (CSM) has attended a meeting of the consulting group of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS) in Rome.

During the session held on July 14th, 2015, she requested that a paragraph be incorporated in the Committee’s decision on the need to push towards implementing the Framework for Action on Food Security and Nutrition in Protracted Crises, especially through the work of concerned UN agencies.

At another meeting of the same coordinating group on Sep.11th, 2014, she underlined the need to enhance capabilities and resources of the southern civil societies to enable them to participate effectively in forums drawing up policies, which could benefit their societies.
