APN invited a number of local and regional media representatives to talk about the achievements of the organization and plans to be undertaken in the coming years.

In a statement during the press conference, President Razan Zuayter said that “we are very pleased with what we have accomplished in our work together. We are proud to be a real civil society organization which rejects foreign institutional donations ".  Zuayter spoke about the importance of sustainable development initiatives instead of handouts that generate dependency.  She added that “our region has very limited food security but we continue to marginalize the agricultural sector.”

Zuayter commented about the importance of the development of the concept of volunteerism, and stressed the importance of partnerships in action.  "Our impact as single organizations is insufficient” she said. “The question is how does civil society work together to create an influential social movements?” she continues.
