Launch of “Zeitoun Khair” Project in the Palestinian Territories | The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature

In a new step to preserve land in danger of confiscation, APN launched the “Zeitoun Khair” project in partnership with the Arab Center for Agricultural Development (ACAD) and the Palestinian Voluntary Work Committee in occupied Palestine.The “Zeitoun Khair” project aims to cultivate 7000 olive saplings across 19 regions affected by the Apartheid Wall and threatened by settlement expansion.The first event, which saw the participation of several volunteers, took place in the town of Shebtein which is threatened with confiscation from the expansion of the Neely settlement near the Palestinian towns of Deir Qdeis and Shebtein west of Ramallah.

The project includes partnerships between several official and non-governmental institutions and universities, in order to ensure the project’s success and the preservation of Palestinians on their land.
