APN seeks to strengthen the capacity of the Arab peoples to sustain the region's natural resources and gain sovereignty over them , particularly in areas suffering from war and occupation.
On 23/11/2017, Mr. Atef Tarawneh, Speaker of Jordan’s House of Representatives, received members of APN who were accompanied by M.P. Mandla Mandela, grandson of the late Nelson Mandela.
During the meeting, APN member Mr. Hassan Al Jaajaa spoke about the importance of enhancing the productivity of and sovereignty over food in Jordan, and the need to intensify regional partnerships and openness to the African continent.
Mandela assured that his presence in Amman is a reflection of his support and respect of Jordan and Palestine, and asserted the words of his late grandfather that South African freedom will always be incomplete so long as Palestine is occupied.
Mr. Tarawneh warmly welcomed APN and Mandla, expressing the utmost support that both the Jordanian government and the people hold for the legendary Nelson Mandela, stressing that Jordan and Palestine are a united people with a united message.
The meeting was concluded with the honoring of Chief Mandla who is an international symbol of justice.
