Regional Consultations

APN is a coordinator of the global civil society representing Western Asia in the Civil Society Mechanism (CSM) for the Committee on Food Security (CFS) concerned with food security in protracted crises. As part of its role, APN engages regional CSOs and NGOs in workshops and consultations on environmental and food security issues and impacts of wars, conflicts and occupations on humanity and natural resources.

APN and Two Arab Delegates in FAO Ministerial Meeting

APN president along with delegates from Tunisia and Sudan were elected to represent CSOs in FAO ministerial meeting held in Rome on May 14-18, 2012. (more in Arabic)

Consultation Workshop on Food Security Issues in Beirut

The Near East Consultation Workshop on Food Security and Nutrition held in Beirut on May 4-5, 2012, was organized by APN in conjunction with Lebanese CSOs. The Consultation adopted recommendations which were submitted to FAO ministerial meeting held in the same month. (more)
